Google Adsense, Makes sense?

Well, it has been over 5 years since Google originally bought the license for "AdSense", and to this very day, I still come across individuals who either:
A. Have no clue regarding this subject matter
or
B. Simply don't care.

Now, I know AdSense seems like less than a stellar topic of discussion, but bare with me, it's over a hundred degrees outside, and I've just gotten resurrected the other day. Yes, resurrected. And not the spiritual or religious type. Full on Life/Death and ER--the whole shebang. With that said, the lack of human contact coupled with an ailing voice has forced me to turn to this to pass the time.
Le sigh... Le sigh indeed...

Hmm...I believe this post had some direction to it a while back...
Right!...AdSense...
I guess it's time for some general knowledge.

What is Adsense?

Google AdSense is an ad serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis.

Wait! So I get paid when people visit my site?
Yes! And how they determine this is through two methods. Either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis. Now the first is pretty self explanatory, whenever a user clicks an Ad from AdSense on your site, you get a tally and paid “X” amount for that click. Per-thousand-impressions deals with just users trafficking your site. So, they don't have to click any of the links, and you'll get a tally. But naturally, the number of views will be much larger before you get paid.

Well, now you get the general gist of things, and this is an ample tool for web page publishers to generate income for their site. All that's left for you to do is to just click one of the many AdSense ads around my blog, so you too can start making money. And know that you just gave me some money through Google.
